November 28 -China workshop
The Office of International Outreach invites you to a November 28 & 29 workshop on China hosted by the Office of International Outreach, The Institute for Pacific Asia, and the newly designated Confucius Institute at Texas A&M. Our objective is to present regional K-12 teachers with information on current issues in China and to support increased cultural sensitivity and understanding of Chinese geography, history and culture. The workshop has great merit as there are serious changes taking place in China that are not easily understood or interpreted in the classroom. It is equally important to address Chinese cultural traditions and changing social patterns to increase sensitivity and tolerance in the classroom.
