October 02- 2009:Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad

The Gilman Scholarship offers up to $5,000 for U.S. citizen undergraduate students receiving a federal pell grant to study abroad anywhere in the world.  An additional $3,000 is available for study of critical need languages.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applying to or accepted into a credit-bearing program
  • Planning on studying abroad for at least 4 weeks
  • Studying in the spring, winter break or summer

How to Apply:

  • Visit http://www.iie.org/gilman to complete the online application by Oct 6.
  • Select Ms. Orie Varner for the study abroad advisor.
  • Select any of the listed financial aid advisors.
  • Mail off one official transcript and two unofficial transcripts by Oct 9.

Your application could win you $5,000 - $8,000.
