November 13, 2007 - The Gendered Politics of Latrines in Rural Rajasthan, India

Kathleen O’Reilly, a member of our Asian Studies faculty, is giving a lecture on Tuesday November 13th at 12:30 PM, on the topic of “The Gendered Politics of Latrines in Rural Rajasthan, India.”

Kathleen’s lecture is one in a series sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Working Group and financed by the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research with additional help from the Women’s Resource Center. The series brings in speakers from TAMU and from other institutions, representing a variety of disciplinary approaches to gender studies.  Faculty, staff, students, and other friends of Women’s Studies are invited to join us to listen and discuss.  Because seating is limited and we need to order an appropriate amount of pizza, kindly place your reservation by emailing claudia_nelson@tamu.edu no later than noon the day before the event, noting any vegetarian needs.

Kathleen’s lunch lecture is scheduled for 12:30-1:30 p.m. in room 311 of the Glasscock Building on November 13th.
