September 02 2008 - Greetings from Institute for Pacific Asia on the occasion of Vietnam's Independance Day

 

The Institute for Pacific Asia takes this opportunity to wish all our Vietnamese Students and alumni a heartfelt 63rd anniversary of Vietnam's Independence Day. We are proud of our Vietnamese Students and hope Texas A&M University will remain the best destination for Vietnamese International students in the years to come.

Ho Chi Minh declared independence on 2 September, 1945, the same day that Japan formally surrendered in World War II. The declaration ended 80 years of French and then Japanese colonial rule
